Reba's Coffee Cake

This delicious recipe was the most requested from friends after I served them a slice

Use an Angel food or Bundt cake pan


1/2 pound butter at room temperature

1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour

1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder

1 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon vanilla
8 oz. sour cream
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon


Cream butter, sugar and eggs, one at a time.
Sift: flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Add vanilla, sour cream.
Mix well.
In small bowl mix chopped walnuts, sugar and cinnamon.

Grease angel food cake pan.
Pour half the batter into pan.
Sprinkle half of the cinnamon/nut mixture on top, then pour remaining batter, topping off with remaining cinnamon/nut mixture.

Bake 50 minutes in a 350-degree oven.
Cool on rack.
